Whitlingham WwTW - Norwich
Under the Biosolids Quality Programme, a new Sludge Plant is constructed at Whitlingham WwTW in Norwich.
The plant comprises processes for indigenous sludge, sludge import, cake import, straining, 3 centrifuges, a 4 reactor single stream thermo hydrolysis plant, digesters and services associated with a new CHP plant.

The control architecture is based on an intelligent MCC, Contrologix PLC's and a dual redundant RSView SE SCADA system with 2 clients.
Approximately 60 instruments and valves are interfaced to one of the PLC's via two Profibus PA fieldbus networks.
The board is a combined LVSB/MCC, 20 meter long, back to back Model Form 4 type 2, 1600A panel with approx. 60 starters. |
